Kampen slope stair

In Kampen, one of our slope stairs connects a footpath to the cycle path at the top of an embankment. The stair was designed to the size and angle of the slope and connects to the paving on both sides.

A short route up the embankment

The stair makes the route between footpath and cycle path short and safe, even in wet weather.

Made to fit the slope

We design every stair parametrically, to the exact dimensions and angle of the site. Our robot then makes the elements in our robot lab, without a mould and with material only where it is structurally needed. The rounded treads provide grip and a recognisable look.

Fitted into the green

On both sides of the stair, elements with openings let the grass grow through. The stair blends into the embankment and the slope stays green.
