For Adriaan van Erk we made a stair for a concrete slope next to a garage. The stair was designed to the exact dimensions of the site, made in our robot lab and has now been installed and is in use.
The question
A concrete slope along a retaining wall needed to become safe to walk on. A standard stair rarely fits a spot like this without adjustments.
Made to fit the slope exactly
No two slopes are the same. That is why we design every stair parametrically, to the exact dimensions and angle of the site. Our robot then makes the stair in special mortars, without a mould, with material only where it is structurally needed and without reinforcement.
